Miriam is an up and coming star with ambition. So what? you might ask as there are many such people with similar aspirations.

But Miriam is different.

Leaving school at 16 with 6 ‘O’ ‘levels Miriam worked hard in several jobs eventually, via a degree obtained from the City University of London, working in the City in the Futures Exchange. Always an outgoing, sociable person this position, whilst providing an excellent lifestyle, was not what she wanted.

‘The greedy life of Banking seemed wrong’ she says, ‘I guess someone replaced my guilt chip!’

Leaving the City to start a family she still yearned for that ‘something’ which surprisingly came from of all places Twitter. (See Blog).

Latest Project

Miriam has just finished appearing in a film directed by Ben Miller (The Armstrong and Miller Show – BBC) entitled ‘Huge‘ in which she plays the Assistant Head of Creative. The film stars Noel Clarke and Johnny Harris and has guest appearances by:

David Baddiel

Jo Brand

Alan Davies

Harry Hill

Eddie Izzard

Mark Lamarr

Frank Skinner

… and many more. Quite an elite cast for her first outing.

It premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival in June this year (2010) and the Guardian gave an excellent review stating ‘Ben Miller… made a fine job of Huge. It is among the contenders for the Michael Powell award for best new British feature.
