This
web site is dedicated to the promotion of Freemasonry in the modern
world and whilst it in the main relates to Freemasonry as practised
under UGLE it also encompasses Masonic workings of other constitutions
and hopes, over time, to become a major contributor to the advancement
and encouragement of this fraternal, worldwide organisation. |

|
Did you know.
The largest contributor to charities in the United Kingdom
after the National Lottery is Freemasonry? |
Website
In the main this web site
relates to Freemasonry overlooked by the United Grand Lodge of England,
but this in no way will limit the site relating to articles,
discussions, features and input other than all items must conform to
basic Masonic principles. Submissions, however controversial, are
encouraged and providing they add to the advancement of Freemasonry,
will be considered for inclusion on the appropriate page.
The web site has been
designed to run under Internet Explorer 7 but should also run under
Netscape. As some of the pictures featured are large, unless you have
Broadband they may take some time to download - but well worth the wait.
Freemasonry
Obviously this is where to
start and in this section you will not just find information about main
stream Freemasonry but also about 'unusual' and 'less known' areas as
well. Always on the lookout for something unusual if you know of other
items that would be ideal for this area then please let us know.
Announcement - FREE
advertising
Continuing the development
of this web site and striving to be the premier site for Freemasons, we
are pleased to announce the launch of our Classified Adverts service.
Over the coming weeks this
service will be developed further and hopefully will become a major part
in the success of this web site. All adverts are FREE but we
respectfully ask that any commercial advertisers make a donation towards
our running costs (this is not a requirement) to ensure the future of
the site.
Take a look and place your
advert today. All adverts will run for 30 days but can be re-submitted
if required. If you would like to suggest any new categories we would
love to hear from you. Click the link below to take you to FftM
Classifieds.

Prestigious Website Awards
This Award will only be
given to those websites who achieve the highest standards, not just in
Masonic content, but in design, ease of use, educational etc. and
because the standards are high, it will be valued by those sites awarded
it and a useful aide to visitors.
Websites submitted for
consideration will be viewed by an independent panel of Judges and their
average scores will be used in making the final decision.
The Forum

IF
YOU HAVE NOT YET CHECKED OUT OUR FORUM, NOW IS THE TIME TO DO SO
Our Forum has been open for
nearly one year now and is becoming very popular. It is the ideal place
for Freemasons to meet and discuss and for potential Freemasons to ask
those 'questions' that have always bothered them.
There is a Private Area
restricted to Freemasons working under UGLE who have been raised, and
three separate areas for each degree that new Brothers can access on
application in order to further their Masonic education and to converse
with others of the same degree.
There is also a Guest Area
that is open to all without having to register. This area is closely
monitored but has proven most popular and contains some interesting
postings.
The Trestle Board will possibly become
the most visited area of the web site. An ideal place for research prior
to becoming a Freemason and also an ideal area to increase your
knowledge once you are.

UK-Masonry
Very much in it's infancy we
have launched our moderated mailing list strictly for Freemasons.
Designed to allow discussions via a mailing list that must be subscribed
to we are offering a platform administered professionally and with good
manners. It will be strictly controlled but from a different viewpoint
to other similar lists on the Internet - to help members rather than
punish them if mistakes are made. As in Freemasonry we all make mistakes
but hopefully learn from them.
This is where you will find many articles of interest.
Whether you are a Freemason looking for inspiration or perhaps
considering Freemasonry you should be able to find something to
stimulate you here. Obviously many of the articles will be influenced by
Freemasonry, but many will also be about Freemasons, their adventures,
their lives, their families and friends. In fact something for everyone.
Please submit any articles you feel would be useful to
others or maybe consider writing one of your own. On this point if you
specialise in some area of Freemasonry - the history, the ceremonies,
the Officers, the side degrees etc. - and you would be prepared to be a
regular contributor please get in touch, I would love to hear from you.
Links
If you
would like a link to your website email your URL and we will consider it

Screen Resolution
The
display resolution of your computer’s screen determines how big or small
the text and icons are. The larger the resolution, the more information
will be displayed on a single screen without having to scroll left and
right using the scroll bars.
The
screen for this web site is designed for a display resolution of 1024 x
768. If your display resolution is smaller than this, you may find that
some items “disappear” off the right-hand edge of the screen sometimes.
The items are still there – you just have to use the scroll bar along
the bottom of the screen to find them.
If
this bothers you, you can see if your current computer equipment will
support a larger screen resolution. Most computers will normally have
their display set to the maximum possible resolution supported by their
hardware, so you may not be able to improve on what you already have.
Also, how you change these settings varies according to which operating
system you are using. For example, the procedure is slightly different
for different versions of Windows.
Basically, you need to find your way to the Control Panel application
(usually Start/Control Panel), and then find the Display icon. Double
click on this icon, and find the Settings tab. Change your resolution
to a larger setting, and see if that solves the problem.
Enjoy.
